Job Title: Staff Nurse Inpatient Schedule: Two 8‑hour shifts per week, start times vary between 6 am and 8 am. The position includes an on‑call requirement of 1–2 days every two weeks and a weekend rotation approximately every six weeks. Special days off cannot be guaranteed due to unpredictable procedure schedules. Responsibilities Collect and analyze patient data, identify expected outcomes, and develop and implement individualized care plans. Direct care and determine the appropriate use of assistants involved in direct patient care. Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary staff to create and document a plan focused on outcomes and related communications. Participate in shared governance, committee work, and unit projects. Evaluate and document patients’ responses to nursing interventions in the health record, individualizing the plan of care based on findings. Utilize the best available evidence, including research findings, to guide practice decisions. Qualifications Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills Strong analytic abilities Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) acceptable with a commitment to obtain a BSN from an accredited program within three years of the first day of employment in a clinical nurse role.
