Assistant Controller

Arkansas Talent Group is exclusively partnering with one of Arkansas's largest and most well‑established privately held companies in the state to help them find a Senior Accountant for their organization. They are headquartered in North Little Rock. This is a rare opportunity to join a tenured, high‑performing accounting team and work directly under an experienced CFO who is known for developing top accounting talent. The Senior Accountant will serve as a key contributor to the day‑to‑day and month‑end accounting operations, playing an integral role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and post journal entries accurately and in compliance with GAAP Own and manage the month‑end and year‑end close process, ensuring timely completion Perform general ledger reconciliations and balance sheet account analysis Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner Support intercompany reconciliations and allocations across multiple entities Collaborate with the CFO and accounting team on special projects, reporting initiatives, and process improvement efforts Maintain organized, audit‑ready financial records and supporting documentation Assist with external audit preparation and tax filing support as needed Ideal Candidate Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting required Minimum of 2–5 years of corporate or public accounting experience Strong working knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting Experience with month‑end close, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliations CPA or CPA candidate preferred, but not required Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting ERP systems Strong attention to detail and organizational skills A collaborative, team‑first attitude with the ability to work independently Why This Opportunity Stands Out Work directly under a highly respected CFO with a team‑oriented leadership style Join one of Arkansas's most established and financially sound privately held companies Competitive compensation, great benefits, strong bonus opportunities, beautiful offices, and a professional work environment Opportunity for long‑term career growth within a well‑capitalized organization For more information, please apply directly or send a message on LinkedIn to Chris Chunn or Stephanie Shine.
