MRI Technologist - Travel Job

Job Description

Jackson HealthPros is thrilled to welcome an experienced MRI Technologist to a hospital in Janesville, WI to accurately follow physician scanning instructions, prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, and expertly operate MRI scanners to create diagnostic images. The MRI Technologist will perform procedures under a licensed medical practitioner’s order, apply magnetic resonance safety principles, prepare and administer contrast media, assist with interventional procedures, evaluate image quality, and document and submit images for physician interpretation. The role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and participation in department projects and training when requested.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited radiography or MRI program. Education verification required.
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration in Radiography and ARRT MRI registration required.
• Experience as an MRI Technologist. (Client requires prior MRI experience.)
• Approved BLS certification required.
• Demonstrated ability to perform venipuncture, start and maintain venous access, and prepare/administer contrast media.
• Experience with MRI systems, surface coils, physiologic gating devices, and PACS or radiology information systems.
• Ability to follow MRI safety protocols, screening and consent verification procedures.
• Willingness to participate in call rotation, including some Sunday call shifts.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous hospital or trauma center experience.
• Experience instructing or precepting students and partners.

Assignment Details

• Work schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
• Call rotation required that will include some Sunday call shifts.
• May be required to work flexible hours, alternate shifts, weekends, and to flex hours as needed to support department needs.
