Part-Time Cashier
Moorpark Grocery Outlet – Moorpark, CA
Pay: $17.00–$18.00 per hour depending on experience
Job Type: Part-Time
Moorpark Grocery Outlet is looking for a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Part-Time Cashier to join our team!
As a locally owned and operated Grocery Outlet, we take pride in providing our customers with great deals, a clean and welcoming store, and excellent customer service. Our cashiers play an important role in making sure every customer leaves with a positive experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Accurately scan and ring up customer purchases
- Handle cash, credit/debit, EBT, coupons, and other forms of payment
- Bag groceries carefully and efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service and assist customers when needed
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and stocked
- Assist with stocking, facing, cleaning, and other store duties as needed
- Follow store policies regarding cash handling, customer service, and safety
- Help promote store specials, promotions, and community fundraising programs
- Work cooperatively with managers and fellow team members
Qualifications
- Previous cashier, grocery, retail, or customer service experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person
- Friendly and positive attitude
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Dependable and punctual
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Able to accurately handle cash and basic transactions
- Able to stand for extended periods of time
- Able to lift and carry grocery items as needed
- Must be willing to help throughout the store when needed
Availability
We are looking for candidates with flexible availability , including some:
- Evenings
- Weekends
- Holidays
Availability and reliability will be important considerations when selecting candidates.
