Registered Nurse Medical Surgical/Telemetry

The Registered Nurse Medical Surgical/Telemetry provides direct patient care in a hospital setting, focusing on adult patients requiring medical surgical and telemetry services. This role ensures safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care aligned with clinical standards and facility policies.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients health status and establish appropriate nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments following protocol and physician orders.
• Monitor ECG rhythms and recognize abnormal patterns to promptly address changes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
• Document patient responses, interventions, and progress accurately in electronic health records.
• Adhere to all compliance requirements, including certifications and license verifications.

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 18 months recent experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry nursing.
• Hold a permanent Ohio nursing license or a valid compact state license.
• Possess current BLS and ACLS certifications, with NIH clearance obtained prior to start.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Epic electronic health record systems.
• Provide at least one recent reference from a manager, supervisor, or director within the past 12 months.
• Be able to pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments with acceptable scores during orientation.
