Automotive Technician

Pay : $20.00 - $45.00 per hour

Automotive Technician – Flat Rate

Pay: $20–$45 per flat-rate hour, based on experience and skill level

Chillicothe Truck is looking for an experienced Automotive Technician to join our growing service team.

This is a great opportunity for a productive flat-rate technician looking for consistent work and strong earning potential. Our current workload is heavily focused on internal inventory and reconditioning, providing technicians with a steady flow of vehicles to keep work moving through the shop. There are no manufacturer certification requirements or ongoing OEM training requirements, allowing you to focus on diagnosing, repairing, and producing quality work.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues
• Perform complete vehicle inspections and identify needed repairs
• Complete brake, suspension, steering, drivetrain, and other mechanical repairs
• Perform routine maintenance and fluid services
• Diagnose electrical concerns using schematics and diagnostic equipment
• Perform diesel repairs when needed and within your skill set
• Complete wheel alignments and related repairs
• Accurately document completed repairs
• Work efficiently to keep vehicles moving through the shop
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years of automotive repair experience preferred
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a flat-rate environment
• Truck and diesel experience is a plus
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical information
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Dependable and able to work independently
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
