Responsibilities Review, prepare, and serve meals in accordance with planned menus, standardized recipes, therapeutic diets, and special diet orders Prepare and serve residents' nutritional bedtime snacks and provide approved substitute foods for residents who decline scheduled meals Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment while following all Infection Prevention and Control standards Perform dishwashing and cleaning procedures, ensuring utensils, cookware, and equipment are cleaned and available for the next meal service Prepare and deliver snacks, food carts, and meal trays to designated resident areas Serve food and beverages in the dining room in a courteous and professional manner Sweep and mop kitchen, dining, and dish room floors as directed by the supervisor Assist with stocking supplies and maintaining inventory as assigned Follow all food safety, sanitation, and OSHA guidelines Report equipment concerns or safety hazards to the Dietary Manager promptly Work collaboratively with the Dietary Team to provide an excellent dining experience for residents Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous food service, dietary, restaurant, or healthcare experience preferred Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is preferred Ability to properly use and care for dietary equipment and supplies Ability to perform routine cleaning and sanitation duties Strong customer service skills with a compassionate and resident-focused attitude Patience, dependability, and a positive team-oriented approach Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, push, or carry food carts and supplies as needed Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of residents, staff, or others in the workplace Benefits Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Company-Paid Life Insurance Critical Illness Insurance Short-Term Disability Insurance Accident Insurance Hospital Indemnity Insurance 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan On-Demand Pay Option Paid Time Off (PTO) Tuition Reimbursement Program Job Type: Part time Location: ALIYA of Palatine | Palatine, IL #J-18808-Ljbffr Aliya of Palatine
