Job Description Eastern Connecticut Hematology and Oncology Associates is committed to the care and improvement of human life. We are seeking a full‑time Oncology Nurse for Eastern CT Hematology and Oncology located in Norwich, CT. Responsibilities Include Clearly and accurately documents pertinent information in the patient's medical record. Consistently demonstrates effective documentation practices and develops strategies to ensure complete documentation of patient care. Completes timely and ongoing patient assessments and responses to treatments serving as a key participant on the treatment team. Works closely with APRNs and Doctors to ensure appropriate and prescribed treatment plans are followed. Oversees triage responsibilities when scheduled. Delivers teachings to patients on a variety of different subject matters and medication procedures. Administers chemotherapy, immunotherapy, intravenous gamma globulin, iron infusions and growth factor support. Ideal Candidates Have Current RN license through the state of CT. Previous experience accessing ports and placing IV lines. Previous experience in Oncology and working with an oncology EMR preferred. Associate's Degree in Nursing required. Ability to stand for the duration of shift and move quickly throughout the infusion center. #J-18808-Ljbffr ECHO Associates
