Post Doctoral Research Associate

The University of Georgia

Post Doctoral Research Associate

Lead and conduct research projects in cancer immunotherapy and nanomedicine, including experimental design, execution, troubleshooting, and interpretation of results. Perform and oversee in vivo and in vitro studies, including animal studies, therapeutic efficacy evaluations, immune profiling, molecular biology assays, and mechanistic investigations. Analyze and interpret experimental and sequencing datasets; prepare figures, reports, and presentations. Prepare manuscripts, grant-related documents, and other scholarly publications arising from funded research projects. Train and mentor graduate and undergraduate students in research techniques, experimental design, and data analysis.

This postdoctoral researcher position is essential to support multiple externally funded research projects focused on cancer immunotherapy and translational oncology. The position requires advanced expertise in tumor immunology, animal models of cancer, molecular and cellular biology, and high-dimensional data analysis. The postdoctoral researcher will play a leading role in the design, execution, and interpretation of preclinical studies evaluating novel immunotherapeutic and nanomedicine-based approaches for cancer treatment. The individual will be responsible for coordinating and conducting complex in vivo and in vitro experiments, including therapeutic efficacy studies, immune profiling, sequencing-based analyses, and mechanistic investigations. The position is critical for maintaining project timelines, generating data required for sponsored research objectives, and disseminating findings through peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations. In addition, the postdoctoral researcher will provide scientific leadership within the laboratory by mentoring graduate and undergraduate students, assisting with experimental design and troubleshooting, and contributing to the preparation of manuscripts and research reports. The specialized training and independent research capabilities required for these responsibilities necessitate a postdoctoral-level appointment.

PhD required.
