Research Engineer

Sr Research EngineerA senior-level role that leads strategic, multidisciplinary projects, serves as a thought leader, and builds the company's innovation network.As an Sr Research Engineer you will:Run complex research projects with minimum oversight.Create new conceptual designs and validates them.Contribute to the innovation strategy.Serve as a mentor and leader across engineering levels.Educate other G&W teams on new technology and processes.Consult and supports other teams as needed within area of expertise.Oversee critical research and innovation initiatives from more junior engineers.Build partnerships with universities, labs, and research centers.Represent the organization at global technical conferences.Publish research findings and contribute to organizational IP.Develop schedules, coordinate, and manage feasibility projects of minor to major size with little to no supervision.Develop budgets with little to no supervision.We are looking for someone who:Holds a BSEE or BSME and 15+ years of experience.Has demonstrated thought leadership in technical organizations.Possesses advanced skills in managing research ecosystems.Has extensive knowledge of research methodologies and industry standards.Is recognized as an expert in high voltage technology.Has exceptional leadership and mentoring capabilities.Has a strong network of academic and industry collaborators.Can show a proven ability to influence strategic decisions.The Physical Demands / Working Conditions are:General Office Environment, PC useLight Lifting (occasional 25 lbs or less)StandingHeavy Lifting (frequent 25 lbs +) – not frequentWhat we offer you:Typical pay is $96,555 –128,577 annually.
