Key Responsibilities of the RN - Long Term Care - Travel

• Direct day-to-day functions of nursing assistants according to regulations
• Perform RN tasks related to drug administration
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments
• Ensure medication supply and room readiness for new admissions
• Greet and orient new residents; escort to rooms as necessary
• Make rounds with physicians and consult on resident care
• Participate in quality assurance and facility surveys
• Maintain and update resident discharge plans
• Complete administrative duties like medical forms and documentation
• Record and transcribe physician orders; chart nurses' notes
• Observe patients and report significant conditions to supervisors
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to resident rights

Requirements of the RN - Long Term Care - Travel

• Nursing Degree from an accredited institution or approved RN program
• Active RN license to practice in the state
• BLS/CPR and AED Program Certification
• Proficiency in English and an understanding of long-term care needs
• Ability to make independent decisions, supervise staff, and manage care plans
• Physical ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
