Position Summary

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role supports packaging manufacturing operations by minimizing downtime and promoting preventative maintenance practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Diagnose equipment failures and implement timely corrective actions
• Maintain conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, and packaging machinery
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Complete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
• Collaborate with production teams to maximize equipment reliability and efficiency

Qualifications

• Previous experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, or a related field
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, motors, and production equipment preferred
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Understanding of preventative maintenance programs
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in an industrial production environment

Preferred Experience

• Industrial manufacturing or packaging production environment
• Electrical troubleshooting and motor controls
• Conveyor systems maintenance
• Preventative maintenance software (CMMS) experience
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
• Thermoforming OR injection mold experience

Job Type & Location: This is a Permanent position based out of Sarasota, FL.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
