Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer requiring CCI or RDCS certification and Epic experience for a 13-week day shift assignment.

Details

• Adult acute care and outpatient echo services, including ICU and Emergency Department settings
• 1:1 patient ratio
• 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, no weekends
• Shift and schedule subject to change
• Must work 2 of the 3 winter holidays
• Epic EMR experience required
• Floating within scope of practice as needed

Requirements

• Current BLS, CCI, and RDCS certifications required
• AE certification also accepted
• License required if applicable
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with adult echo, 2-D echo, color Doppler, and portable studies
• Preferred skills include 3-D echo, bubble study, imaging with contrast agents, M-mode, pharmacologic stress echo, RVIT/RVOT, TEE, and treadmill stress echo
• Preferred calculation skills include diastology, LV strain/volume, PISA, and Simpson's Rule
• Experience with GE, Philips, Siemens, SonoSite, and PACS equipment preferred
• Ability to obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG preferred
• Experience performing procedures in ICU/ED settings preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• Two professional references required

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound studies across adult acute care, outpatient, ICU, and ED settings
• Specialty-specific orientation modules completed during onboarding
• Scrub attire and PPE/isolation precautions compliance required
• Maximum 40 hours of RTO per 13-week contract, must be disclosed at time of consideration
• Any planned time off between offer and start date must be disclosed to arrange an appropriate start date
• Previous UVA employees must have 1-year separation and leadership approval before returning
• External travelers cannot exceed 365 total assignment days at this facility
• First-time travelers considered with 2+ years of substantive experience
