Banquet Set-Up Attendant

Banquet Houseperson

A Banquet Houseperson supports Banquet operations while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and professionalism. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Set up, break down, and clean all banquet, meeting, and conference spaces according to event specifications

Assist guests in function areas as needed

Maintain cleanliness of banquet and meeting areas in accordance with established quality standards

Perform cleaning duties including:

Restroom cleaning

Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, shampooing carpets

Cleaning and waxing floors

Removing trash and debris

Stocking and maintaining supply rooms

Spot cleaning and pest/debris removal

Ensure all banquet equipment is in proper working order and report any defects or maintenance needs

Assist with event setups to ensure efficient department operations

Support back-of-house team members as requested

Safely lift, push, pull, and move banquet equipment (up to 50 pounds)

Manage timely setup and breakdown of Food and Beverage functions

Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with guests and team members

Comply with hotel security procedures, fire regulations, and health and safety standards

Attend required hotel training sessions

Here's what you'll do during a typical day:

Delight our guests: Bring an upbeat and friendly attitude to all guest interactions and proactively look for ways to make their experience special

Prepare banquet space with care: Complete table and chair set up according to the requirements for each function

Ensure a clean and inviting space: Clean and prep banquet rooms, ensuring all walls and surfaces are spotless

Monitor the room: Keep the banquet area clean, and promptly address spills, discarded service items, and other issues to ensure an exceptional guest experience
