The Experienced Tailor/Alterations Specialist is skilled in precise garment alterations and custom tailoring, primarily handling casual wear, formal wear, and uniforms. This role involves direct customer consultations and fitting sessions to ensure garments meet exact specifications. The specialist operates industrial sewing machines and performs repair work, maintaining high-quality craftsmanship for a moderate daily customer volume.
Responsibilities
- Perform garment alterations and repairs for casual, formal, and uniform wear
- Conduct custom tailoring to meet individual client needs
- Manage fitting sessions and take accurate measurements
- Provide customer consultations to understand alteration requirements
- Operate industrial sewing machines and related equipment
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in tailoring
- Vocational training in tailoring or fashion design
- Strong skills in sewing and garment construction
- Excellent customer service abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management
