Overview TeamHealth has a new day shift hospitalist opening at St. David's Georgetown Hospital in Austin, Texas. This is an established program between TeamHealth and HCA staffed with internal medicine hospitalists and nocturnists that are all local to Austin. Our physicians work a traditional 7-on, 7-off schedule. St. David's Georgetown has 118 beds but only 50 beds are handled by the hospitalist program. We are currently staffing with 2 daytime physicians (7a-7p); 1 swing physician (2p-7p), and 1 nocturnist physician (7p-7a). This is a closed ICU setting, averaging 20-22 total patient encounters per day shift clinician and an average of 7 admissions at night, seeing 60-70 cross coverage patients. We do not require our clinicians to perform procedures within this role. You only need to respond to codes for your patients, so you are able to assist the codes team. Presently all St. David's locations are using Meditech for their EMR. Responsibilities Provide day shift hospitalist coverage in a 7-on, 7-off schedule. Manage a closed ICU setting with an average of 20-22 patient encounters per day shift clinician. Handle approximately 7 admissions at night, with 60-70 cross-coverage patients. Respond to codes for your patients and assist the codes team as needed. Work with Meditech EMR, as used across St. David's locations. Collaborate with internal medicine hospitalists and nocturnists as part of an established program.
