Apartment Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Gilroy, CA Pay: $25-$27/hr Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday Position Type: Temp-to-Hire Position Overview We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Apartment Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day maintenance needs of a residential apartment community. This position is responsible for completing work orders, preparing vacant units for new residents, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring the property remains safe, clean, and well maintained. The ideal candidate has previous apartment, multifamily, property maintenance, or facilities maintenance experience and is comfortable handling a variety of repairs.ResponsibilitiesComplete resident maintenance requests and work orders in a timely mannerPerform general repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and carpentryTroubleshoot and repair common issues such as leaks, clogged drains, fixtures, outlets, and appliancesComplete apartment turns/make-readies between residentsPerform minor drywall repair, painting, patching, and general carpentryConduct preventative maintenance and routine property inspectionsAssist with maintaining common areas, building exteriors, and groundsIdentify maintenance or safety concerns and communicate them to property managementMaintain tools, equipment, and maintenance suppliesFollow all property safety procedures and company guidelinesProvide professional and courteous service when interacting with residentsQualificationsPrevious experience as an Apartment Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Technician, Handyman, Building Maintenance Technician, or Facilities Technician preferredExperience with general plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, and paintingApartment turns/make-ready experience is highly preferredStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple work ordersStrong communication and customer service skillsAbility to perform physical maintenance duties, including lifting, bending, standing, and using hand and power tools
