- Inspect electrical, communications, network, facility, structural, HVAC, cabling, grounding, and equipment installation activities.
- Identify, document, and track deficiencies, non-conformance issues, safety concerns, and quality-related findings through resolution.
- Review contractor submittals, inspection reports, test results, field change requests, and quality control documentation.
- Witness site testing, commissioning activities, system cutovers, equipment acceptance testing, and operational readiness demonstrations.
- Maintain detailed project records, inspection logs, photographs, field reports, punch lists, and daily activity reports.
- Coordinate closely with construction managers, engineers, system integrators, facility personnel, and project stakeholders to resolve field issues.
- Validate construction milestone completion and provide recommendations regarding progress payments and project acceptance.
- Participate in pre-construction meetings, progress reviews, safety meetings, and project turnover activities.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure minimal disruption to ongoing National Airspace System (NAS) operations and facility functions.
- Support final acceptance inspections, closeout reviews, and turnover of completed facilities and infrastructure to FAA operational organizations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Engineering Technology, or related discipline; equivalent relevant experience may be substituted.
- Must live in the Atlantic City Region, NJ, Washington, DC, or Oklahoma City, OK
- Minimum of 3 years of experience performing construction inspection, quality assurance, field engineering, owner's representative, or construction management services.
- Experience inspecting facility construction, infrastructure modernization, telecommunications installations, or mission-critical systems deployments.
- Knowledge of construction methods, building systems, electrical infrastructure, communications systems, and installation practices.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, construction schedules, and technical documentation.
- Experience documenting field activities and preparing inspection reports.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety requirements and construction quality management procedures.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to travel extensively to FAA facilities and project sites nationwide.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting FAA, Department of Transportation (DOT), Department of Defense (DoD), or other federal facility construction programs.
