Admissions AssistantThe Pines at Placerville Healthcare Center | Skilled Nursing FacilityPay Range: $23.00–$27.00 per hour, DOESchedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday | 32 hours per weekThe Pines at Placerville Healthcare Center is seeking a motivated, organized, and driven Admissions Assistant to support our Admissions Director and help ensure a smooth, welcoming, and efficient admission experience for our residents and their families.This is an important role for someone who takes initiative, stays organized, follows through, and is comfortable working independently while being part of a collaborative team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who doesn't wait to be told what needs to be done, communicates effectively, and takes pride in getting the details right.If you are someone who thrives in a busy healthcare environment, enjoys working with people, and brings a positive, can-do attitude to your work, we'd love to hear from you!What You'll DoAs the Admissions Assistant, you will work closely with the Admissions Director and facility team to coordinate and support the admission process, including:Assist with interviewing residents, guardians, and sponsors and obtaining required admission information, signatures, permits, releases, and authorizations.Assist with resident admission orientation and provide required admission information packets, including resident rights, privacy practices, admissions contracts, and related materials.Prepare identification records and complete admission documentation accurately and efficiently.Process resident admissions, transfers, and discharges in accordance with facility policies and procedures.Maintain an accurate record of available beds and current resident room assignments.Communicate new admissions promptly to the nursing department and coordinate with appropriate staff to ensure a smooth arrival.Maintain accurate resident listings and distribute information appropriately while protecting resident privacy and confidentiality.Assist with inventorying resident valuables and obtaining appropriate documentation.Develop and maintain positive working relationships with nursing, management, and all other facility departments.Follow established policies, procedures, schedules, and direction from the Admissions Director and other supervisors.Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and proactively identify tasks that need attention.Support the Admissions Director with day-to-day administrative and admissions-related responsibilities as needed.Maintain strict confidentiality of resident information and protected health information (PHI), and report known or suspected unauthorized disclosures.Perform other duties as assigned.What We're Looking ForWe are looking for someone who is:A self-starter who takes initiative and can keep moving without constant direction.Driven and motivated to accomplish goals and follow through on responsibilities.Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Dependable, professional, and accountable.A strong communicator who is comfortable interacting with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and facility staff.Positive, approachable, and able to represent the facility professionally.Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change.Able to recognize what needs to be done and take appropriate action.A team player who also works effectively and confidently on their own.Committed to maintaining resident dignity, privacy, and confidentiality.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.Previous healthcare, skilled nursing, admissions, medical office, or administrative experience is preferred.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents, professional publications, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.Ability to write reports, correspondence, and other business documentation.Ability to communicate effectively and respond professionally to questions from managers, employees, residents, and families.Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts, including percentages, ratios, and proportions.Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.Ability to interpret written, verbal, diagrammed, or scheduled instructions.Minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute.Ability to use a 10-key calculator and standard office equipment.Physical & Work EnvironmentThis position requires regular sitting, standing, walking, talking, reading, and hearing, along with frequent use of computers, telephones, copiers/scanners, fax machines, and other office equipment.The employee may occasionally need to lift or move up to 25 pounds and may be required to assist with resident evacuation during emergency situations.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.Why Join Us?At The Pines at Placerville Healthcare Center, the Admissions team plays an important role in creating a positive first impression for our residents and their families.
