Travel RN – Medical Surgical (MS Combo)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations on a Medical Surgical unit
• Maintain a patient ratio of 6:1 in a 12-bed unit setting
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Meditech EHR
• Work every other weekend or as needed per unit scheduling requirements
• May float to other Med Surg units as operational needs require

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure valid in the state of Tennessee (or compact eligibility)
• ACLS certification required prior to start
• BLS certification required prior to start
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHS) certification required prior to start
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in a Medical Surgical setting
• Must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start date — results required before start
• Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2+ years of RN experience in a Medical Surgical setting
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic health records
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
