Data Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer for a Contract with a client in West Chester, PA. The ideal candidate with expertise designing, developing, and optimizing large-scale data platforms, ETL pipelines, and cloud-based analytics solutions to support enterprise reporting and operational intelligence.


Rate Range: $45/hour to $49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


Data Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Big Data and ETL solutions using Spark, PySpark, Databricks, AWS, and modern data engineering technologies.
• Build and optimize data pipelines to ingest, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources into enterprise data warehouse and analytics platforms.
• Develop and maintain data models, SQL queries, STTMs, ERDs, data dictionaries, and other technical documentation to support business reporting and operational intelligence.
• Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and technical teams to gather requirements, resolve data-related issues, and deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and support production data environments, implementing alerting, logging, performance tuning, and operational improvements.
• Design and support cloud-native data architectures leveraging AWS services, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and Databricks while ensuring scalability, reliability, and data quality.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 6-8 years of experience in Data Engineering, Big Data development, and enterprise data warehouse environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, Spark, PySpark, AWS, Hadoop ecosystem technologies, and large-scale ETL/data pipeline development.
• Expertise in SQL, Teradata, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, data warehousing concepts, and production support for cloud-based data platforms and analytics solutions.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $49.00 per hour
