Banking & Capital Markets Tax Manager – PwC, San Francisco, CA. A career in our Financial Services Tax practice, within Corporate Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business. You’ll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, and act as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners. You’ll also help organisations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties, and provide advice on tax implications of deals. Our team helps our Financial Services clients navigate the frequently changing and complex national and international tax environment related to stringent capital requirements, management of operational tax risks, and tax implications of investing in different jurisdictions. You’ll help our clients with their tax structuring while helping to address the challenges of the continuously changing tax world, both locally and globally. Responsibilities Act as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing working capital, profit sharing for partners, and advising on local and overseas tax affairs. Provide advice on pricing implications of goods and services between related parties and tax implications of deals. Help clients navigate national and international tax environments, capital requirements, operational tax risks, and investment implications in different jurisdictions. Job Requirements and Preferences Basic Qualifications Minimum Degree: Bachelor’s Degree Required Field of Study: Accounting Minimum Years of Experience: 4 years Certification(s) Required: CPA, or other tax/technology/finance credentials; membership in the bar is acceptable. Preferred Qualifications Extensive success in dealing with tax issues for multinational US companies or publicly traded entities. Experience as a tax technical professional researching business and industry trends. Experience with automation and digitisation in a professional services environment, including innovation with new technologies and data analytics. Strong skills in pricing, client value, negotiation, contract review, and pricing options. Experience in client discussions, communication of firm services, and managing engagements with accurate documentation. Knowledge of corporate planning, tax accounting, financial reporting, ASC Ꝁ, and tax provision preparation. Technical skills with tax tools such as Corptax, OneSource, or similar platforms. Research skills using Westlaw, RIA, CCH. Leadership experience creating positive environments, monitoring workloads, providing feedback, and communicating with leadership.
