Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Contract | Nights (3x12 Hours, 19:00–07:00)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide intermediate-level care for adult to geriatric patients admitted via direct admission or emergency room, including those with diagnoses such as dysrhythmias, CHF, acute onset stroke, Acute Coronary Syndrome, and Myocardial Ischemia
• Monitor and manage all patients on continuous hardwire telemetry with assessments and interventions performed no less frequently than every hour
• Deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment with an emphasis on patient throughput and safety
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio on a 12-bed unit
• Document accurately using Epic and administer medications via Pyxis
• Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Ability to work every other weekend unless otherwise specified
• Willingness to work applicable major holidays per assignment period holiday policy

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an IMC, PCU, or Stepdown unit setting
• Familiarity with Epic EMR and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Experience caring for patients requiring continuous telemetry monitoring
