Interventional Rad Tech, PRN, Days Overview Piedmont Henry Hospital Imaging Department. Our imaging department has its own transporters and patient lift equipment to help move patients for imaging exams. We have 8, 10 and 12‑hour shifts as well as weekend option pay. Our department includes X‑ray Techs, CT Techs, MRI Techs, Ultrasound Techs, Mammography Techs, Interventional Radiology Techs, OR X‑ray Techs, Unit Secretaries, Transporters, RNs, PAs, and Radiologists. We are a 259‑bed hospital, a level III trauma center, a level III neonatal intensive care unit and stroke certified. Our Emergency room sees about 100,000 patients a year. Our Imaging Department X‑ray – 3 Routine Rooms & 2 Fluoro Rooms (86,000 exams per year) CT – 4 Siemens rooms (72,000 exams per year) MRI – 2 units (1.5T Siemens & 3T GE) (10,000 exams per year) Ultrasound – 3 Siemens rooms (21,000 exams per year) Breast Health Center – 4 Hologic Diag/Screening Rooms & 1 DEXA (23,000 per year) IR – 1 GE Room (2,500 exams per year) Outpatient Diagnostic Center – CT, MRI, Mammography & X‑ray (11,000 exams per year) Surgery (OR) – 5 GE OEC C‑Arms CSU – Pre and Post unit for patients receiving moderate sedation Responsibilities: Performs diagnostic and interventional procedures including angiography, venography, myelography, nephro‑ureteral and gastrointestinal studies, and modality‑assisted drainage and biopsies. Completes all post‑processing functions. Performs related record keeping and patient care functions. Ensures utilization of established protocols and techniques for adolescent, adult and geriatric patient populations.
