A hospital in Montrose is seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist to join its patient care team. This is an excellent opportunity for a therapist who is passionate about helping individuals regain independence and improve their quality of life through personalized rehabilitation services.
Position Overview
The Occupational Therapist will evaluate patients' functional abilities and create customized treatment plans designed to enhance participation in daily activities. This role involves providing therapeutic interventions, tracking patient progress, and working closely with an interdisciplinary team to support successful recovery and discharge outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Assess patients' physical, cognitive, and functional capabilities.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
• Provide therapeutic interventions that promote independence and functional improvement.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies as appropriate.
• Educate patients and families on techniques, adaptive equipment, and strategies to support ongoing recovery.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinical standards and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to a positive, patient-focused rehabilitation environment.
Qualifications
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Team-oriented approach with the ability to work independently when needed.
• Self-motivated, organized, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
