Job Summary:

The Manager is responsible for the direction of the housekeeping/laundry and Central Supply department staff. They supervise the cleaning of areas and replenishing of housekeeping/laundry and Central supplies. These individuals have a key role in development and operation of department quality assurance, purchasing, establishment of staff scheduling, training and employee morale.

 

Essential Qualifications:

·         Must be a high school graduate, or the equivalent.

·         Must have at least one year of housekeeping supervisory experience or three years general supervisory experience or three years experience as an aide or porter.

·         Must be familiar with various types and composition of floor coverings, cleaning materials, draperies, shade, cleaning and general housekeeping/laundry methods and equipment.

·         Must be neat in appearance.

·         Must be able to supervise employees in performing tasks with due consideration for peers and residents in vicinity.
