Chat history is never stored.Explore job detailsTailor my resumePractice an interviewDevelop new skills#### Job Description**Job Location:** Ark Encounter - Williamstown, KY 41097 **Job Category:** Safety **Summary** This position is part of the Answers in Genesis Risk and Safety Department and supports the AiG projects and personnel through detailed planning on safety needs. This is done through procuring safety equipment, providing employee training, as well as safety audits and inspections. The Safety Consultant must effectively communicate with various stakeholders through a servant leader mindset. This position has a career path that will develop your spiritual and professional growth goals by working with a large staff in a God-honoring fashion to achieve great results by tackling challenges while having fun along the way. This position will allow one to impact others through a service mindset centered on making an eternal difference. Responsibilities - Promote the Mission and Standards of Answers in Genesis - Create a SERVE culture environment in all work done - Approach all tasks with a second-mile mindset. - Prioritize personal integrity in all interactions and assignments. - Actively develop and maintain a work atmosphere that enhances the spiritual growth of all team members - Maintain knowledge of active and future projects to predict safety concerns and provide recommendations and solutions to avoid risks - Identify training gaps for staff based upon project needs to determine needs and schedule staff training - Work with AiG teams to understand work needs and assist in the development of JHAs (Job Hazard Analysis) for projects and activities - Participate in accident/incident investigations to create incident reports and recommendations to prevent reoccurring accident/incidents - Conducts routine observations of the work environments and approaches issues with as a servant leader to help correct deficiencies - Ensures safety programs compliance with regulatory agency guidelines and best practices - Assists in the promotion, teaching and implementation of AiG safety programs - Identifies and tracks safety trends to produce meaningful reports for management review - First response to onsite emergencies and incidents - All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management **Qualifications**Requirements - Must agree with and be able to sign our Statement of Faith. - Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. - Regular attendance at a local Bible-believing church. - Energetic and outgoing, particularly with people skills - Fits the culture of Answers in Genesis and is willing to lead with qualities aligned with servant leadership. - Computer literate or a willingness to learn computer skills, with emphasis on Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint or any new system deemed necessary for job performance - Verbal and written communication skills - Interpersonal communication skills - Investigatory skills - Organizational skills - Able to function in and support a team environment - Accuracy and consistency of work product - Able to take direction while managing workload - Ability to work non-routine hours as needed - Responsible to grow and learn professionally - Ability to analyze options and problem-solve creatively, while aligning with AiG’s business applications and philosophy - Exemplify the highest degree of professionalism and work ethics - Possess an understanding of global company values and goals through attendance of company management meetings or other meetings as deemed appropriate - Has a working knowledge of OSHA 1926 Construction Standard, OSHA 1910 General Industry Standard, and NFPA codes. - Fills the role of an informal leader that assists the contractors in day-to-day matters. Education & Experience - Prefer a Degree in safety or a related program and/or - Significant experience (5+ years) to support the qualities and responsibilities identified with this position - Strongly prefer an OSHA trainer or recognized as a competent person within their field. - Strongly prefer experience leading others in a way that is consistent with Answers in Genesis leadership expectations.
