Austin, TX (Remote within US)

As a Business Intelligence Report Developer, the candidate must have a strong background in developing and implementing advanced/innovative business intelligence reports and visualizations based on functional specifications from a user, group and/or organization. This position will work as part of project team interacting with Product Owners, internal/external stakeholders, application development, and other BI/Data Warehouse staff to ensure report needs are assessed, documented, designed, developed, and implemented.

The Candidate must have experience in and be able to perform the following:

• Expertise with Advanced SQL, and ability to develop comprehensive Stored procedures in Microsoft SQL Server.
• Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• working with the cross-functional business team to understand business problem and draw best reporting solution
• developing SAP/Business Objects (4.2v or above)
• working with BI visualization development tools such as Qlik, Tableau, SAS, Socrata
• analyze requirements and specifications, develops, designs, and coordinates the implementation of business intelligence reports and/or visualizations
• working with business customers, managers, analysts, and subject matter experts professionally and collaboratively to gather requirements/strategies for report development
• ability to translate requirements into advanced database and business intelligence components design
• work with relational databases including SQL Server and Oracle
• address and resolve complex technical issues with internal/external customers, builds good communication protocols and updates management team with weekly/monthly status
• perform extensive code reviews and analysis
• adhering to software development processes
• preparing detailed documentation
• generating work estimates in an SDLC environment
• presenting and demonstrating business intelligence reports and visualizations to business customers and managers

The Candidate must have worked with modern BI and Data Warehouse technologies to ensure reports comply with standards and all data modeling artifacts are prepared accurately in a timely fashion. The Candidate must also be quality conscious and be dedicated to delivering quality products on time and within budget.

Candidate Skills and Qualifications:

Years - Required/Preferred - Experience

5 - Required - Experience in working with Advanced SQL, Stored procedures, triggers in SQL Server.

5 - Required - Experience with SSRS

5 - Required - Experience in Business Intelligence Report development and implementation in SAP Business Objects (4.2v or above)

5 - Required - Experience with web technologies: HTML, CSS and JavaScript

5 - Required - Experience with Business/System/Data Analysis and Improvement

5 - Required - Extensive knowledge of/experience with data integration, data quality, multi-dimensional design and ETL tools, processes, and methodology

3 - Required - Experience with BI visualization development tools such as Qlik, Tableau, SAS, Socrata

3 - Required - Extensive experience with highly complex application security requirements

3 - Required - Proficient in multiple database technologies such as Oracle, DB2 and MS SQL

3 - Required - Experience with Agile development experience with Scrum, Kanban

2 - Required - Experience using Visual Studio

2 - Required - Experience with TFS, Bitbucket, Git

2 - Preferred - Public sector experience (Federal, State or Local Government)

2 - Preferred - Proficient with the Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, TEAMS, Microsoft Project, Word, Visio, Excel and PowerPoint
