GF Hotels & Resorts is hiring a Human Resources Manager for our Marriott Rochester Airport Hotel. The Hotel Human Resources Manager oversees all staff-related operations, recruitment, employee relations, training, and legal compliance for the property. They partner with the General Manager to cultivate a positive workplace culture, manage compensation and benefits, and align staffing strategies with the cyclical demands of the hospitality industry.

Compensation:

$70,000 - $85,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

• Recruitment & Staffing: Lead full-cycle hiring plans, screen and interview candidates for all departments, and build pipelines for seasonal or high-turnover roles.

• Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor to staff and leadership, manage conflict resolution, conduct workplace investigations, and boost staff retention.

• Training & Development: Coordinate onboarding, schedule brand-standard service training, and support ongoing leadership growth.

• Compliance & Administration: Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal labor laws, oversee payroll and benefits administration, and manage personnel records, including visas and work permits where applicable.

• Performance Management: Administer performance review programs, track turnover metrics, and assist with talent planning.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hotel Management, or a related field.

• Experience: 3 to 5 years of progressive HR generalist experience, ideally within the hospitality, hotel, or food and beverage industry.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, ADP, Harri) and payroll systems.

• Knowledge Base: Strong familiarity with employment laws, wage-and-hour regulations, and safety rules.

• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, confidentiality, empathy, and conflict-resolution abilities.
