Assistant IT Manager - Software Apps

Salary: $80,000 - 120,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in a STEM discipline, such as computer science, IT, management information systems, electronics, electrical, or mechanical engineering; a masters degree is preferred.
• We require 8+ years of experience in information technology or information services.
• We require 5+ years of supervisory, resource management, and vendor management experience.
• We require 5+ years of experience supporting IT delivery.
• We require 5+ years of experience managing and delivering large or multiple projects, platforms, and products.
• We need strong project management ability to meet deadlines while delivering quality outcomes on time and within budget.

• We need strong written and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.

• We expect experience in estimation, planning, budgeting, and budget administration.

• We require strong vendor management experience, including contracts, statements of work, and RFP/RFQ processes.
• We need in-depth knowledge of SOX, PII, data privacy practices, security, and governance.
• We require proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Microsoft Visio.
• We prefer experience leading large-scale transformation and modernization initiatives.
• We prefer experience leading multiple software development and implementation teams, such as Mainframe, WMS, and Blue Yonder.
• We prefer experience managing IT projects in the automotive industry.
• We prefer experience designing solutions and providing technical architecture oversight.
• We prefer experience leading solution and business architecture efforts, including design guidance, methodologies, tooling, partnerships, and support models.
• We prefer experience performing modeling, gap analysis, and preparing architecture artifacts such as context diagrams, data flow diagrams, and business capability roadmaps.
• We prefer experience working with an Architecture Review Board.

• We lead the Procurement, Inventory Planning, and Finance Planning applications IT team in support of the Parts business and PS&T Planning business unit.
• We provide strategic input with the Unit Manager on the direction and vision of AHM IT, the Division, Department, and Unit.
• We communicate business and IT direction, vision, and strategy to our team.
• We develop and maintain a strategic view of business and technology for IT planning.
• We coach, mentor, and develop associates while supporting effective performance management.
• We keep our team motivated, engaged, and focused on goals and objectives.
• We manage project goals for schedule, budget, and quality commitments.
• We consult with business users and customers regularly to understand needs and deliver timely solutions.
• We revisit and communicate vision, roadmaps, business issues, and project issues in alignment with IT strategy.
• We encourage innovative thinking and continuous improvement in processes and operations.
• We work to achieve budget targets and portfolio support funding goals.
• We ensure IT assets comply with governance, risk, compliance, PII, and other standards.
• We design technical solutions and provide oversight of technical architecture.
• We conduct code reviews and guide design, methodologies, tooling, partnerships, and support models.
• We perform modeling, gap analysis, and create architecture artifacts, including context diagrams, data flow diagrams, and business capability roadmaps.
• We work with the Architecture Review Board to secure project architecture approvals.
• We lead the business and technical workstreams for critical Parts Apps and PS&T Planning Apps projects.
• We build relationships and networks across North America to earn trust and credibility.
• We use persuasion and influence to align with enterprise IT goals.
• We learn the business directly by meeting with users, visiting the work site, and attending conferences.
• We develop strong partnerships with business teams and act as a go-to problem solver for business needs.
• We collaborate with other IT teams to connect the right resources to business requirements.
• We conduct interviews for potential candidates and support vendor or third-party agreements.
