President Container Group is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Quality Lab Technician to join our Quality team. This is an entry-level opportunity , and training will be provided.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with numbers, measurements, computers, and hands-on testing. You do not need previous laboratory experience to be successful in this role. We are looking for someone who is willing to learn, follows procedures carefully, pays close attention to detail, and speaks up when something does not look right.

What You'll Do

As a Quality Lab Technician, you will:

• Collect samples and perform quality tests according to established procedures.
• Use laboratory instruments to take accurate measurements.
• Record test results accurately in computer-based systems.
• Perform basic calculations, including averages, unit measurements, and comparisons against target specifications.
• Read order tickets and correctly match samples to order and roll numbers.
• Follow written testing procedures step by step.
• Identify unusual or questionable test results and communicate concerns promptly.
• Work closely with the Quality Assurance team, supervisors, and machine operators.
• Learn new testing methods, equipment, software, and technology used by the Quality team.
• Maintain the required daily sampling and testing schedule.
• Follow all company safety requirements and policies in both the laboratory and production areas.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to follow written instructions and test procedures carefully.
• Comfortable working with computers and tablets on a daily basis.
• Willingness to learn new testing methods, equipment, and software.
• Comfortable learning and working with new technology, including AI tools.
• Ability to perform basic math and accurately read and record measurements.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Reliable and able to maintain a testing and sampling schedule.
• Able to communicate clearly and ask questions when something is unclear.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
