Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

The position requires a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a minimum of 2 years of experience. The therapist will be working in a fast-paced environment, rotating between different units as needed. Weekends will be required as per scheduling guidelines. Candidates are expected to maintain a flexible schedule and comply with specific unit requirements. The role involves managing patients across various age groups, including neonates and adults. The therapist will perform critical respiratory therapies and monitor patients' respiratory status. Strong skills in adult critical care and pediatric care are essential for the position. The therapist will be responsible for administering treatments, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams for patient care. Specific skills required include intubation assistance, emergency management, and the handling of various respiratory devices. Candidates must be able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and demonstrate strong communication skills. The ability to adapt to changing situations and maintain a calm demeanor under pressure is critical. In addition, candidates should be prepared to float to neighboring facilities if necessary. Travelers should be flexible with their schedules and willing to accommodate the needs of the department. References from previous employers will be required during the compliance process.
