Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med/Surg unit. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong background in acute care, specifically in medical/surgical settings, providing excellent patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for a maximum of 6 patients at a time in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform standard nursing procedures including IV insertions, medication administration, and documentation in electronic health records.
• Communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain and manage urinary catheters and central lines.
• Assist with continuous bladder irrigation and nasogastric tube care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of acute medical/surgical nursing experience in the past year.
• Must possess an active RN license.
• Experience caring for neuro patients (CVA, TIA, AMS) is preferred.
• Background in neuro/neuro-surgery or orthopedic nursing highly desirable.
