Herschend is seeking a detail-oriented Public Area Attendant to help build a unique guest experience for our newest hospitality venture, Dolly Parton's SongTeller Hotel, located in the heart of Downtown Nashville. The ideal candidate leads with heart for hospitality and has an exceptional talent for orchestrating seamless guest experiences. With equal parts integrity, creativity and operational expertise, this team member will ensure SongTeller delivers service that's as genuine and memorable as Dolly herself.

The Public Area Attendant position offers an extraordinary opportunity to propel the arrival experience excellence and hospitality identity for Dolly Parton's SongTeller Hotel featuring 245 rooms, two F&B Entertainment venues, a market, and Dolly Parton's Museum. Personalizing all aspects of the hotel's welcome moment, ensuring every touchpoint reflects the seamless, authentic, and memorable experience guests expect of SongTeller Hotel. This role will be highly rewarding for a visionary, hands-on and guest-focused Host with a demonstrated history of building strong relationships and operating with excellence while driving timeless and unforgettable guest experiences.

Summary of Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• The Public Area Attendant is responsible for maintaining the beauty, cleanliness, and welcoming atmosphere of all public spaces throughout the hotel. As a visible presence on the floor, this role embodies gracious Southern hospitality – ensuring every guest experiences a space that feels warm, polished, and thoughtfully cared for.
• Maintain impeccable cleanliness and presentation of all public areas including lobby, corridors, restrooms, elevators, and lounges
• Create a consistently inviting atmosphere by paying attention to detail, ambiance, and overall guest impression
• Refresh and restock public restrooms with linens, amenities, and supplies throughout the day
• Dust, polish, vacuum, and mop surfaces to ensure a pristine and well-kept environment
• Respond promptly and warmly to guest requests, offering assistance with a hospitable, can-do attitude
• Support the housekeeping team by assisting with linen delivery, light housekeeping tasks, or special projects as needed
• Maintain cleanliness of entrances, outdoor areas, and high-traffic spaces
• Identify and report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or repair needs
• Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are used safely and stored properly
• Assist with event space upkeep and transitions when required
• Uphold hotel brand standards, presentation, and service expectations at all times

Qualifications

• Previous hotel experience preferred in upscale, lifestyle or luxury hotel setting.
• Work background reflects a successful track record of accomplishment and growth in hospitality operations with proven experience leading multi-departmental hotel operations
• Passion for delivering elevated guest experiences and attention to detail
• Capable of lifting, pushing, or pulling 25–50 lbs
• Professional appearance and demeanor aligned with luxury boutique standards
• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support colleagues across departments
• High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail
• A love for storytelling through the guest experience
• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred, ideally in a hotel or luxury setting
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Ability to work efficiently and independently
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift required items
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain consistency in standards
• Respectful, integrity, and professional demeanor
• Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
