Cost Accountant

We are seeking a dedicated Cost Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and analyzing manufacturing costs, developing standard costs, and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) to enhance the financial efficiency of our growing company.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing costs including raw materials, labor, and machine operations.

• Develop and maintain standard costs and Bills of Materials (BOMs).

• Perform variance analysis (actual vs. standard costs) and identify root causes.

• Monitor inventory transactions, cycle counts, and inventory valuation.

• Prepare cost reports, margin analysis, and financial summaries for leadership.

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close activities.

• Collaborate with production, engineering, and procurement teams to improve cost efficiency.

• Recommend cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.

Essential Skills

• 3-5 years accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory, and production processes.

• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.

• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Experience in manufacturing or CNC/industrial environment preferred.

Work Environment

This position is based in Johnson Creek. The role offers a hybrid schedule with 1-2 days remote work. Our company is experiencing rapid growth, with expectations to triple in size within the next five years.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Johnson Creek, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr.
