Senior Financial Planning Manager

Brilliant® is an award-winning contract and consulting practice headquartered in Chicago, specializing in accounting, finance, technology, and business solutions across the Midwest and Southeast U.S. labor markets. We are seeking a driven and analytical FP&A Manager to support financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis for a growing manufacturing organization. This role will partner closely with operations and executive leadership to provide actionable financial insights that drive efficiency, margin improvement, and long-term growth. The ideal candidate brings strong manufacturing experience, operational finance exposure, and the ability to translate financial data into business strategy. Key Responsibilities Lead the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and operational decision-making Perform monthly variance analysis and provide clear explanations of financial performance Partner with plant leadership and operations teams to analyze cost drivers, labor, inventory, and production metrics Analyze margins, cost of goods sold (COGS), and manufacturing variances Support pricing analysis and profitability reporting Develop KPI dashboards and performance reporting packages for executive leadership Assist with capital expenditure analysis and ROI evaluations Improve forecasting accuracy and financial planning processes Support ad hoc financial analysis for strategic initiatives Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required 5–10+ years of progressive FP&A or financial analysis experience Prior experience in a manufacturing or product-based environment required Strong understanding of cost accounting and operational finance Experience supporting plant operations or supply chain finance preferred Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, or similar) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to partner cross-functionally and influence business decisions Brilliant Staffing, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages applications from all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or veteran status. #J-18808-Ljbffr Brilliant®
