Licensed Practical Nurse

LPN/LVN – $1,120 weekly stipends ($8/hour) + $288 weekly base pay. Onsite contract starting 6/02/2026 for 13 weeks. Day shift: 12 hours/day, 3 days/week. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) Note: Requires a minimum of 2 years of inpatient rehab or MedSurg experience with inpatient rehab knowledge. Facility 3351 North Side Dr., Macon, GA 21210 5–6 miles from the main hospital Hospital beds: 58 Unit Information Unit beds: 25 (census 20–25) Experience requirement: 2+ years inpatient rehab or MedSurg; RN or LPN acceptable for RN posting. First‑time travelers accepted. Patient Types / Common Diagnoses Neuro: traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, CVA, aneurysm, post‑craniotomy, brain bleeds, patients with PEG tubes and trach tubes; most patients referred from hospitals. Patients often have mobility deficits and require braces, splints, and specialized care. Patient Ratios RN/LPN to patients: 1 : 5–7 CNA to patients: 1–3 per shift Required License and Certifications Active RN license (GA) BLS

Skills Required Experience with listed patient types and wound care, dressing changes, wound vacs, drains, peripheral IV starts/maintenance, ostomy care, IV antibiotics, PEG tube maintenance, tube feeds, established trach care/maintenance. Proficient with mobility devices, braces/splints, bowel/bladder programs. No IV drips. Support Available CNA assisting with vital signs, glucose checks, baths, feeding, ambulation, turning, hourly rounding, and transportation. Receptionist/unit secretary support. Charge RN, phlebotomy, nurse draw, RT 24/7, hospitalist during day and on call at night. Technology / Equipment

IV Pump: Alaris Medication dispensing: Pyxis Monitors: Phillips; additional vitals, Nova glucose stat strips; portable vital signs monitors (Dynamapp); bladder scanners; portable oxygen system; suction machine. Floating Between Unit 1 and Unit 2. Orientation & Scheduling

1. day orientation with educational modules.
2. days departmental orientation.

Weekend rotation: 5–6 weekend shifts out of 12 (6‑week schedule). No on‑call; work one shift on major holidays: Thanksgiving (or day after), 12/24, 12/25, 12/31 or 1/1. Shift times: 0700–1900, 1900–0700. Schedule cycle: 6‑week schedule. Other Notes Scrub color: RN – navy; LPN – teal blue. Free parking lot. Unit culture: busy but team oriented.
