For the 2026-27 school year, KPS is looking for interested applicants to be bus drivers. KPS covers all costs to become bus driver certified. If interested, contact Pat Bergh.

Position: KPSD Bus Driver

Days Per Year: 173 days (173 school days)

Paid Holidays: 6 paid days during the school year.

Rural Route Pay (as follows):

Note - Annual salary range is from $22,400 - $28,200. Base Salary Route Pay + $0.16/mile

• 0-49 miles = $60
• 50-59 miles = $62
• 60-69 miles = $64
• 70-79 miles = $66
• 80 plus miles = $68

Route Times:

• Morning: 6:45 AM to 8:15 AM $57 + (50 mile route add: $7)
• Afternoon: 2:50 PM to 4:45 PM $57 + (50 mile route add: $7)

Total Pay Per Day: $128 equates to approx. $35/hour
