Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join a high-performing engineering team supporting large-scale enterprise applications. This role requires a strong backend-focused developer with expertise in Java, Python, and containerized application development. The ideal candidate will have experience designing, developing, and supporting complex software solutions in enterprise environments.
Senior Java Developer
Location: Iselin, NJ / Charlotte, NC (3 days onsite)
Duration: 18-Month Contract (Potential Extension or Conversion)
Employment Type: Contract
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications.
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical solution design.
- Review and analyze complex software engineering challenges and recommend solutions.
- Develop and support RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, product owners, and business stakeholders.
- Ensure applications meet security, compliance, and performance requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
- Contribute to code reviews, testing strategies, and development best practices.
- Support containerized deployments and cloud-native application development.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of software development experience.
- Strong experience with Java (Full Stack with a Backend focus).
- Experience with Python development.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes .
- Experience developing enterprise-scale applications and microservices.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and SDLC practices.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cloud platform experience ( GCP preferred ).
- Experience with AWS or Azure.
- MongoDB experience.
- Cloud certifications (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
