Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience License: Active Illinois RN License Certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS Must-Have: - Active Illinois Nurse Agency license - Recent Labor & Delivery experience Description: The Labor and Delivery RN cares for women during labor and childbirth. The RN monitors both the baby and the mother throughout the process. The nurse provides coaching to mothers during labor. Assistance is given to doctors as needed during deliveries. The RN prepares women and their families for the stages of giving birth. Support is offered to patients with breastfeeding after the baby is born. The Birthing Center averages 200 births per month.
