Senior Medical Science Liaison - Obesity - NY

Job Title Senior Medical Science Liaison – Obesity (NY) Location Manhattan and Long Island, New York. Responsibilities Serve as the primary scientific/clinical resource to Opinion Leaders, Population Health Decision Makers, and other healthcare providers. Execute Amgen Medical function and product strategy, delivering accurate scientific information to improve patient outcomes. Engage with peer‑to‑peer audiences, clinical investigators, sites, and IDNs to advance the scientific platform aligned with company goals. Conduct in‑depth scientific exchanges and adhere to MSL compliance standards. Support sponsor research, assist with study leads, and liaise with investigators in non‑sponsored research. Provide field observations and insights to internal stakeholders. Lead and support congress activities and speaker training. Collaborate with other Amgen field roles for coordinated outreach. Mentor other MSLs as directed. Complete administrative duties and training (Veeva CRM, expense reports, compliance modules). Qualifications Doctorate (Ph.D., M.D., D.O., Pharm.D., or other doctoral degree) with ≥2 years in Medical Affairs OR Master’s degree with ≥6 years in Medical Affairs OR Bachelor’s with ≥8 years in Medical Affairs. 7+ years in a medically related field, including at least 1 year in clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research. ≥2 years as a Medical Science Liaison in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry. Current experience in Scientific Affairs or Medical Affairs at a biotech or pharmaceutical company. Expertise in cardiometabolic and/or obesity sciences. Experience in a designated territory. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $172,344–$233,172 annually (exclusive of Puerto Rico).
