Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Maryland

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Hagerstown, Maryland

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 4:1 patient ratio; up to six weekend shifts per 6-week scheduling period (Friday or Saturday for night shift, Saturday or Sunday for day shift); Night shift may include up to 3 Sundays per scheduling period; 20 hours of orientation provided

Highlights:

• High-acuity Level II Trauma Center with a fast-paced 54-bed emergency department
• Sees an average of 220 patients daily with diverse, challenging case mix including stroke, STEMI, trauma, and critical care
• Epic charting system utilized throughout the facility
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
• Full-spectrum emergency care for all patient populations from neonates to geriatrics
• One-year assignment with mandatory travel nursing experience required

Requirements:

• Active Maryland RN license or compact state license
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department nursing experience
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale (pending certifications acceptable)
• Epic EMR experience required
• COVID-19 vaccination required (no exemptions)
• Flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
• 2-step PPD required
• Proficiency in critical emergency skills including ventilator management, central line care, IV vasopressors, continuous sedation, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, procedural sedation, blood product administration, BiPAP/CPAP, triage, and trauma care
• Must reside outside 50-mile radius from facility
