Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) / Cath Lab Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cardiac Cath Lab provides specialized care for patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures and other related interventions. This professional assumes accountability for patient care through the nursing process, effective use of the healthcare environment, and collaboration with the healthcare team. Other related duties may be assigned as necessary. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care to individuals undergoing cardiac procedures. Monitor patient vitals and condition during and after procedures. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Maintain a sterile environment and follow established protocols during procedures. Document patient care and procedures accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. Work Schedule Shifts are scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The role necessitates being on-call seven days every other week, with a maximum request for time off limited to three days. Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) license. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA or ARC accepted). A minimum of two years of experience in a related nursing role. Patient Care The patient-to-nurse ratio is one-to-one, allowing for dedicated and focused care. The facility has a maximum of two beds in the Cath Lab. Additional Information Scrub colors are provided. The Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems utilized include MedHost and MACLAB.
