Medical Laboratory Technician

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day Shift: 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30). No weekend or on-call requirements.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician for a fast-paced outpatient facility. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a team, showcasing great communication skills, a positive attitude, and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen collection and preparation, including phlebotomy.
• Utilize automated instruments and perform manual tests accurately.
• Ensure proper disposal and labeling of samples.
• Conduct quality assurance and control activities.
• Report test results in accordance with established protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
• Certification from ASCP or AMT required.
• Experience with phlebotomy is essential.
• Must have active South Carolina license prior to start.
