Position: Endoscopy Tech, Weekend Days Job Summary Part time; 7am-5:30pm, every Saturday and Sunday NO Call required 3+ years of Endo Tech experience preferred Must be familiar with washing and cleaning scopes, running the Medivator unit, and ordering supplies This position is located at Memorial Hermann Cypress. Position responsible for assisting the physician in the operating room/endoscopy services under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Job Description Minimum Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of an Endoscopy Technician Certification Program or one year of equivalent healthcare experience required. Licenses/Certifications None Experience / Knowledge / Skills Ability to follow oral and written instructions and to perform basic mathematical calculations. Principal Accountabilities Assists physicians with endoscopy procedures as assigned by a registered nurse, delivering appropriate care to clients according to the Endoscopy Skills Inventory. Obtains and prepares supplies and instruments according to the individual physician preferences; restocks supplies, and maintains the endoscopy rooms. Assists in the scheduling and rescheduling of patients. Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service. Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.
