Therapist Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Summary:

The Contract Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) supports licensed physical therapists in delivering rehabilitative care to patients. This role involves assisting with patient treatment plans, implementing therapy procedures, and monitoring patient progress to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing patient treatment plans.

  Prepare treatment areas, equipment, and materials to ensure a safe and effective therapy session.

  Administer therapeutic exercises and modalities as directed by the therapist.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient responses to therapy and document progress accurately.

  Educate patients and families on exercises, mobility techniques, and recovery strategies.

  Maintain cleanliness and safety protocols within the therapy environment.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant.

  Proven experience working under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.

  Strong understanding of rehabilitative therapies and procedures.

  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  
  
• 
  Ability to document patient progress clearly and accurately.
