Our client, a respected healthcare facility in California, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with critical care experience to join their team. Position Summary As a Registered Nurse in the Critical Care Unit, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include assessing patient conditions, developing care plans, administering medications, and ensuring patient safety. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver care in accordance with established standards and protocols. Responsibilities Conduct initial nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans. Document patient care from admission through discharge, following the Nursing Process. Administer and document medications, demonstrating knowledge of dosages, drug interactions, and incompatibilities. Practice safety measures in all patient care activities. Provide excellent customer service and advocate for patient needs. Teach, delegate, and direct both professional and non-professional nursing staff. Stay updated on new developments and therapeutic measures in patient care. Participate in the development of nursing policies and procedures, as well as Quality Assurance activities. Respond to emergency situations, including Code Blue and Code Red activations. Protect patients' rights to privacy and confidentiality. Perform any related duties as assigned or requested. Qualifications Minimum of two years of current ICU or ER experience. Ability to float to telemetry and stepdown units, as required. May be required to care for COVID+ patients. Travel nursing experience is strongly encouraged. Proficiency in reading Telemetry Strips. Successful completion of a Basic Dysrhythmia exam (Required). ACLS (American Heart Association) certification. BLS (American Heart Association) certification. MOAB certification. NIH certification. COVID Vaccination and booster shots are encouraged.
