divh2MedSurg LPN/h2pMilwaukee, WI, United States/ph3Medical-Surgical Nurse Responsibilities:/h3ulliAssessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals./liliEvaluating medical information, as well as providing direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre-and post-surgery patients./liliPreparing, administering and recording prescribed medications./liliChanging dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs./liliAdjusting specialized medical equipment as needed, as well as interpreting and recording measurements./liliMonitoring patients vitals and reporting adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner./liliCollaborating on discharge planning with the healthcare team./liliAnswering questions and educating patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care./liliMaintaining and updating patient files, medical charts, and health records./liliAdhering to best nursing practices, standards, and protocols./li/ulh3Medical-Surgical Nurse Requirements:/h3ulliBachelors degree in nursing./liliCertified MS-RN preferred./liliState-approved nursing licensure./liliAt least two years experience as a medical-surgical nurse in a similar facility./liliCompetency in electronic patient management systems such as e-MDs Chart and Mediexcel./liliExtensive experience in monitoring a broad range of medical conditions./liliIn-depth knowledge of best practices in medical-surgical nursing./liliExceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills./liliSuperb interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities./liliAvailability to work shifts that rotate between days, nights, weekends, and public holidays./li/ul/div
