Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager - Transportation

Project Manager/Senior Civil Engineer – Transportation‑Roads and Streets – Chicago, Illinois We are looking for an experienced engineer to lead design and delivery of transportation projects from concept through construction. In this hybrid role, you will collaborate with clients, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to produce high‑quality engineering solutions. Responsibilities Plan, provide design guidance, and manage technical delivery of a variety of civil engineering projects, primarily focused on public transportation. Communicate with clients regarding current projects and collaborate with project managers and our business development team to identify and position the firm to successfully win future work. Effectively direct and support technical staff to deliver projects. Assist project managers in preparing and managing project scope, budget, schedule and preparing deliverables. Assist with business development efforts to cultivate strong client relationships. Mentor junior engineers and support client communications. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Registered PE in the state of Illinois. At least 8‑10 years of experience in public transportation design. Experience in roadway, stormwater, grading plans, and maintenance of traffic in northeast Illinois. Experience mentoring engineers and design technicians. Previous experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley OpenRoads Designer required. Benefits US Pay Range: $115,000–$160,000.
