Overview Seeking a Clinical Pediatrics Nurse located at Madigan Army Medical Center, Pediatric Unit, Tacoma, Washington. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Location Joint Base Lewis‑McChord, WA (JBLM) is near Tacoma and offers access to Seattle, Tacoma, and Olympia. The base hosts Madigan AMC, one of only three Level II trauma centers in the U.S. and a Level II Trauma Center in Washington State. For more details, visit Responsibilities Patient Assessment & Monitoring: Observe, assess, and continuously monitor pediatric and adolescent patients to ensure timely clinical interventions. Age‑Specific Care: Deliver professional nursing care tailored to the unique physical, developmental, and age‑specific needs of children. Equipment Operation: Safely operate specialized pediatric medical, surgical, and resuscitation equipment in a clinical outpatient setting. Family Education & Support: Educate parents and family members on home care strategies, illness management, and developmental health to support optimal pediatric outcomes. Phone Consultations: Conduct follow‑up telephone triage and consultations with parents to provide clinical guidance and supportive education. SOP & Quality Initiatives: Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to implement initiatives that enhance the quality, safety, and efficiency of pediatric care services. Clinical Mentorship: Serve as a preceptor and clinical resource, providing technical guidance and onboarding support to newly assigned nursing staff and trainees. Qualifications U.S. Citizens Education: Diploma, Associate, Bachelor’s, or Graduate degree in Professional Nursing from an accredited program.
